At SaferHood AI, your privacy matters. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have. By using SaferHood AI’s website, dashboards, automated reports, or related services (“Services”), you agree to this Policy.

1) Information We Collect

1.1 Account & Contact Info

  • Name, email, and password (hashed) when you create an account or subscribe.
  • Support communications (emails, forms, messages).

1.2 Subscription & Payment

  • Billing details (plan, status, invoices, history).
  • Payment information is processed by Stripe; SaferHood AI does not store full card numbers. We receive limited payment metadata (e.g., last4, card brand, transaction IDs).

1.3 Usage & Report Inputs

  • Addresses, cities, ZIPs, and regions you view or search.
  • Report preferences and filters you choose.
  • Saved items, favorites, downloads, and timestamps.

1.4 Device, Log, and Analytics Data

  • IP address, device type, browser, OS, referring/exit pages.
  • Event logs (login events, page views, errors).
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 7).

2) How We Use Your Information

  • Provide the Service: authenticate you, generate automated reports, run dashboards, and maintain your subscription.
  • Process payments via Stripe and manage billing/renewals.
  • Improve products: troubleshoot, analyze performance, enhance models and features.
  • Communicate: send receipts, account alerts, product updates, service announcements.
  • Security & compliance: prevent fraud, enforce Terms, comply with law.
  • (Optional) Marketing: send product news or offers (you can opt out at any time).

We do not use your report inputs (e.g., addresses you search) to show third-party ads.

3) AI Processing & Automated Reports

SaferHood AI uses algorithms and AI models to generate scores, forecasts, and analytics. These outputs are predictions/estimates. We may use de-identified and aggregated usage data to monitor, evaluate, and improve our models.

4) Payment Processing

All payments are handled by Stripe, our third-party processor. Stripe collects and processes your payment data subject to its own privacy policy. SaferHood AI does not store full credit card data. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.

5) Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your information (encryption in transit, hashed passwords, access controls). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6) Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

  • Service Providers: e.g., Stripe (payments), email/SMS providers (transactional messages), hosting, analytics, and security vendors—to operate the Service.
  • Legal/Compliance: when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.
  • Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of the transaction (we’ll notify you where required).

7) Cookies, Analytics & Advertising Technologies

We use cookies, SDKs, and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you signed in and remember preferences.
  • Measure traffic and performance (e.g., Google Analytics/Google tag).
  • Understand product usage to improve the Service.

Some features may not function without certain cookies. We do not use your personal report inputs for targeted advertising.

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to: provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We may retain de-identified/aggregated data for analytics and product improvement.

9) Your Rights & Choices

Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete your personal information (we may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes).
  • Export your data where technically feasible.
  • Opt out of non-essential marketing emails via the unsubscribe link.

10) Children’s Privacy

SaferHood AI is not directed to children under 13 (or the age defined by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11) International Transfers

If you access the Service from outside the country where our servers are located, your information may be transferred, stored, and processed in other jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws.

12) Do Not Track & Regional Rights

Our Services may not respond to “Do Not Track” signals. If you are in a region with specific privacy laws (e.g., GDPR/EEA, UK, certain U.S. states), you may have additional rights. Contact us and we’ll assist consistent with applicable law.
